Exclusive: Peter Tatchell advocates breaching prisoners human rights and wants sex with 14 year old boys
According to the Guardian Comment Is Free "Peter Tatchell is a human rights campaigner...". I would describe him as a publicity seeker. With great flourish Iain Dale's Diary announced that Mike Read, the former disc jockey, would be appearing on 18doughtystreet.com, the internet TV station. However, he could not appear. Iain Dale then pleaded for anybody to fill the slot. Tatchell is good at that from all accounts, as he did not deny that he would like to have sex with 14 year old boys. However, he said he would draw the line at 9 year old boys as being too young. As shocking as this revelation was to hear, it was his advocating that prisoners should be tortured which I found most upsetting. Especially, as this is a breach of human rights under the European Convention. If he is not aware of the Control Unit case, then he should be, as it was Harriet Harman (before she sold out) who represented Michael Williams. The Home Office was forced to close it after media pressure highlighted the psychological torture that was being practised. This was before the UK incorporated the European Convention into the Human Rights Act 1998. Credit to Iain Dale for pointing out what Peter Tatchell advocated was a breach of human rights. However, he gets no credit for allowing Tatchell air time. And my already low opinion of Tatchell dropped even further. Some human rights have limitations, however, under the Convention the human right of prisoners not to be subjected to torture is absolute. That makes Tatchell an absolute prick.
