A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate"
(Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

18Doughtystreet.com presenter cops it in Russia
Peter Tatchell who recently became a presenter on 18doughtystreet.com, the internet TV station, was arrested by police in Russia for causing a disturbance. The publicity seeker was also attacked by protestors.
PT a publicity seeker? JHL was Richard Fairbrass there to relaunch his music career?
Gay activist is assaulted serves the publicity seeker right. Not having that at all. PT was showing solidarity with Russias persecuted sexual minorities and got attacked and detained over it. Thats the story
zin zin: I like Right Said Fred, I just don't like Peter Tatchell. He is definitely a publicity seeker. I don't think he does the cause much good at times. And, even though he claims to be a supporter of human rights, this does not extend to prisoners human rights. Recently, he advocated torturing prisoners.
ZinZin: That link has not come out properly, but if you go to the site and type in Peter Tatchell in the search box, then click on the link 1to1 interview with Iain Dale.
If you are referring to long links in future you can condense them using http://tinyurl.com/ you simply click on the toolbar tool and it converts the long address to something much more manageable.
Richard Fairbrass can't be gay, he's one o' them they musculemen with the big biceps, innit? My mate Shug in Livingston thinks he's braw. Shug did say a bit back that Peter Tatchell was a bit iffy in his opinion though. Something to do with strangling chickens?

ReplyDeleteRecently, he advocated torturing prisoners.

Whatever his other failings, he has always been firmly pro-gay rights and you can't really criticise him for that.

John Angliss: I don't criticise him for being pro-gay. Like you say, he has other failings...

Bob: Chris Paul mentioned that and I put it on the computer but it appears to increase the length of the link! I must be doing something wrong...

ReplyDeleteThat looks like it hurt. Peter is going to have a nice bruse out of that one.
ReplyDeleteI think he sure felt that one. I don't know why he didn't try to duck...
ReplyDeleteProbably caught by suprise. Busy yapping away to media types an wallop.
ReplyDeleteLeast now he has a story - if he never had one before - for the media.
The guy was sighting him up and taking aim a measured blow. Maybe he likes it rough. Or, as you say, now it is more news worthy...
