The McCanns should face the music over Madeliene disappearance

Gerry and Kate McCann have left their children once again for a lengthy period of time. Only on this occasion it is not to go for a meal and drinks at a tapas bar and leave them with out supervision for 3 hours, they are visiting the Pope in Rome. "The pair's twins, Sean and Amelie, have been left in the care of relatives". Let us hope that they care for them better than the McCanns did in Portugal. At least the cost of the flight and accommodation will not be coming out of the fund set up to allow the McCanns to stage gigs throughout Europe. Because Sir Philip Green has put his private jet at their disposal and they will be staying with the British Ambassador to the Holy See.

"The McCanns decided their two-year-old twins were too young to take on the trip to Italy, and left them with Mr McCann's sister, Trish Cameron, and her husband Sandy". However, they were not too young to take on the trip from England to Portugal. Nor, indeed, old enough to be left unsupervised for 3 hours, when it is alleged that Madeliene was abducted.

"Mrs McCann plans to give the Pope a photograph of Madeleine". Perhaps, she is hoping that he will keep an eye out for Madeliene in case she turns up in the crowd in Saint Peter's Square? Gerry McCann said "Meeting the Pope is so potentially hugely important to what we are trying to achieve as a family". What's left of the family, aye Gerry? And just exactly what are you seeking to achieve Gerry? How to be responsible parents? This statement from Gerry McCann is a bit rich "We never for one moment thought we would get such publicity, but it means we can get our message across". This coming from the man who sought to control the media coverage from the word go. And what exactly is that message Gerry, I'm still waiting to hear it? Perhaps, it is that you both did what you believe was right? What I would like to hear is when do you both intend coming home to face the music? Important things first, aye Gerry, off to Spain next to see the Beckhams. Then Germany, the Netherlands and Morocco...

In your own good time. I understand that it is supposedly to raise awareness about your daughter. We are aware that she is missing. And we know what she looks like from the photos spread throughout the world. What we want to know is what happened to her. Can you shed any light on this either of you?

"Cheer up Gerry we're on Holiday."
    "I couldn't give a f**k"

Is hardly the language that a caring Christian parent uses in front of own his own three Children and all those within hear shot on the airport shuttle bus. Interestingly Sky have removed the sound track from their version.

  2. Yes, I noted that. Also, in the last photo of him with Madeliene by the swimming pool you would have thought that he had lost a pound and found a penny!

I wonder, is there a site where all these inconsistencies etc can be found, because at the moment they're rather scattered around the blogosphere.

  4. alan: I think that there is a Portugese newspaper which is attacking the inconsistencies. But when people started doing that on the Mirror on line forum they pulled the plug. All I know is that a lot of people have found my blog just because I don't accept the official line being given out by Gerry McCann and his spin machine.

OK then, I'll have a hunt around. My favourite quote from Gerry today refers to when they gave the Pope a photo of Maddy.

"There was recognition from him immediately looking at Madeleine's photograph."

Really, wow. A very intelligent man who speaks 8 languages, plays the piano, has countless doctorates, is well briefed, watches all the new channels every day and who is fully aware of why you're coming, knows what your daughter looks like and is aware of her existence. Blimey. It's just all rather sickly at times.

  6. alan: Yes, he's got a habit of making stupid statements. It might be the downfall of them yet.

That mobile phone vid is probably Team McCann's first major mistake.

Gerry's comments are only audible using good/excellent sound equipment.

  8. buggerlugs: Definitely swears, not a happy bunny. As anonymous points out, Sky is putting out a sanitised version. Perhaps, its to protect young ears. There a again, perhaps its to keep the goody two shoes image going...

Here is a Linkto a Potuguese Bogger/Reporter who writes in English and also translates the Portuguese Press coverage into English.

The Links are hard to follow at first so I'll drop you in at the page allegedes something about the McCann's private life. Not seen this in the UK press so it is probably not true. (0700 May 18th)

Who do you people think you are to criticise a mans personality, maybe he is a moody person but it certainly does not mean he had anything to do with his child's disappearance. Get a life and think about the poor child who is probably still out there, wanting to be home safe with her parents. They are just people asking fellow people to help them find their daughter.
