Hazel Blears in deputy leadership bid for BNP

It is now clear why the extreme right-winger*, Iain Dale, favours Hazel Blears the Labour MP for Salford, to become the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party. Not that long ago Margaret Hodge played the race card, and was accused of being more in tune with the BNP than with Labour. Now Hazel Blears has pulled the race card out from her sleeve and is playing it to the gallery.

Hat-Tip to Theo Spark for the True Blue image of Hazel Blears.

UPDATE: * Iain Dale has asked me to point out that he objects to the term "extreme right winger". Your objection is noted. And, of course, Paul Joseph Gobells was just a publisher nothing whatsoever to do with the Nazis and propaganda. Not that this has anything to do with Iain Dale, just thought that I would mention it...

By the way, don’t ever ask me to remove anything from my blog again until you remove the description ‘extreme right winger’ of me from yours. You don’t like being called an axe murderer. I don’t like effectively being called a Fascist, something you know is a complete and utter lie. And by the way, it was Margaret Hodge. Patricia Hodge is an actress. Oh dear.

  3. I have corrected the error as you asked, it now reads Margaret Hodge.

My, my, you are sensitive. Your friends are the likes of Paul Staines and "The Hitch", they are extreme right-wingers. I saw Margaret Thatcher as a extreme right-winger. You should feel honoured to be in such company. Once New Labour took up the old Tory ground, it left nothing for you but to go to the right. That is, nothing separates the Tories and fascists, except, perhaps, a cigarette paper. The difference between an axe murderer and an axe manslaughterer is a legal difference, and a factual difference.

For the record, if you allow me to be subject to libel on your blog or subject to cyber-stalking then I will pursue you with the full force of the law.

You remain a liar and a hypocrite and a right winger. Personally, I would be more bothered about the first two labels than whether I was a extreme left winger.

  4. For the record, let me just point out that I did not post the comment at 9.02. I sent an email to John Hirst and he has posted it on his blog in my name.

  5. For the record, welcome to Iain Dale for gracing my blog with a comment.

Now, that wasn't painful was it? You didn't get attacked with an axe.

Iain is right for once, it was an email, and I did post it publicly as a comment and copied and pasted the link from his site. Something I learnt from Tim Ireland. The problem is it does not copy the photo aswell. It is always advisable to arrange your photo so as to prevent any forgeries. At present verity is claiming that he or she did not post a comment on a thread on Iain's blog. Personally, I don't give two hoots for verity because anybody can copy the name too easily and verity does not have any real identity in the blogosphere.

The issue with Iain is that he says one thing in public and another in private. This is double standards. He is a public figure. He may have a private life separate from his public life. This is not the issue. We are not talking about privacy here.

Iain made a public statement and has so far failed to publicly state that he privately did a U Turn and give the reasons for it. This is not a crime. However, it is an issue of trust. Presently, I would not buy a used car from him as it is too close to Arthur Daley for comfort.

Honest John or dishonest Iain Dale, it's as simple as that. I have a reputation for being honest, Iain has earned a reputation for being dishonest. I can live with mine. Can he live with his and hold his head up?
