Russia declares its dissidents are mad...yet again

You are mad if you dare to criticise the Kremlim, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph. This had me reaching for my bookshelves where I have a copy of Soviet Psychoprisons by Harvey Fireside published in 1979, in which it tells about those dissidents who were declared mad by the Soviet regime in the early and mid 1970s for daring to speak out about the regime.

It is disturbing that 30 years on, under the so-called democracy of President Putin, Russia has seen the need to return to the methods used by Nikita Khrushchev in the Soviet Union.
