Gerry and Kate McCann are guilty
Gerry McCann's sister Philomena has started 'Gerry And Kate McCann Are Innocent' petition which states: "This petition is set up to help support Gerry and Kate McCann as they battle to clear their names, in the media, at home and in Portugal. It will be used to convince the government that we believe in their innocence and to sway them to pressurise the Portuguese police to continue to look for Madeleine McCann".
I don't believe that Gerry and Kate McCann are innocent. In my view, the best way to clear their names was to have answered all the questions put to them by the Portuguese police. Because they failed to do this, they are now engaged in a battle with all those who seek to bring them to justice. I believe that the government is already aware that the McCann camp believe in the McCanns innocence, therefore the government does not require any convincing of the McCanns stance. I think it is improper to seek to sway the government to pressurise the Portuguese police, the Portuguese police are already complaining about the McCanns interference with their investigations. Moreover, I see this as an attempt by the McCanns to pervert the course of justice. As the McCanns are so confident that they have disposed of Madeleine's body so well that they have challenged the Portuguese police to find her, it does not require any pressure from us as I am sure that they would like nothing better but to find Madeleine to bring this saga to a conclusion.
Therefore, I won't sign your petition Philomena. Instead, I have signed one of the three other petitions which call for the McCanns to be brought to justice. Have I made myself ridiculously and ludicrously clear?

Come now this is getting ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteThere is not one drop of hard evidence against the MacCanns, only speculation and heresay.
While I do not condone their neglectful behaviour of the children, the situation is becoming a trial by mass media, and it is the press and blogs such as this, that are preventing the course of Justice.
Anon, I shall expect a similar comment from one of the McCann can in the next few days. Apparently it's only a threat to justice when there's talk of the McCanns having done something wrong; talk in the media/blogosphere about them being wonderful etc is all absolutely fine and in no way makes a possible case against them harder to bring...
ReplyDeleteDavid, yes I take your point, but at present it appears to be very heavily weighted on one side...the negative side.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that read this....
The case against the McCann’s is falling apart. This was revealed when DNA samples found in the car were revealed to have largely come from Madeleine’s younger brother and sister, as well as from clothes that were packed into the car when the family moved out of the apartment in Praia da Luz.
It is known that Maddie’s clothes and other effects were placed in the car boot along with other family belongings. It has been reported that up to 30 other people have also used the same hire car, including relatives, before the police got around to searching it. It is now being said that DNA samples could have come from multiple sources.
Yesterday, September 18th, it was reported that three investigators arrived in the UK from Portugal, but it is highly unlikely that they will be allowed to sit in on any interviews the McCann’s may have with British police.
The move came as a judge in Portugal refused requests by Portugese investigators to recall Kate and Gerry McCann as well as a number of their friends for further questioning back in the Algarve.
It is understood that the judge made his decision based on the lack of any real evidence contained within the dossier handed to him last week by prosecutors. This decision now means that the investigators must provide more concrete evidence to support their case.
As the judge has refused to recall the McCann’s and their friends, the Portugese investigators can now only request that UK police interview them.
This process could take many weeks, and officers from Portimao are unlikely to be allowed to sit in on any interviews as observers.
It has been revealed that the Policia Judiciaria wanted Kate and Gerry, along with friends Dr.Russell O’Brien, Jane Tanner, Dr. Matthew Oldfield and wife Rachael, David Payne and wife Dr.Fiona Payne and Fiona’s mother Diane Webster to return to the Ocean Club holiday apartments in Praia da Luz to reconstruct the events of May 3rd.
Tycoon, Richard Branson, has donated £100,000 to help cover the legal costs for the McCann’s and is also urging other wealthy Britons to contribute toward a legal defence fund.
The Portugese legal system is in the process of being overhauled, which will allow others, such as suspects and other third parties, access to important documents and DNA results in the case.
Up until now there have been very strict secrecy laws in Portugal and very little in the way of official statements. This has done the Portugese authorities no good whatsoever.
There were also rumours that Chief Inspector Olegario Sousa, who has been heading the investigation, had resigned, but these are unfounded and he is still leading the investigation.
Judge Pedro Anjos Frias has also asked for permission to make a statement about the case, and this is seen as a move toward restoring some sort of credibility for the investigators.
Isn't this why some Brits choose to live in Portugal, because of its legal incompetency? Hey, could that be why the McCanns went there in the first place?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your articles. This blog show that some people in the UK aren't tricked by the McCann propaganda machine. There is a justice for the white, rich, educated and powerful, and other kind of justice, much more hard, for the poor. Unfortunately this happens in great part of the world, EUA, UK and Portugal included.
ReplyDeleteAll the evidences show that the McCann neglected their children. No problem! Pinochet also killed and tortured thousands of persons and was saved by the same fancy layers that represent the McCann.
I think British and Portuguese should questioning themselves about what is wrong in their political and judicial systems.
fc, Portugal: I agree our systems are too corrupt to really serve the people as they should.
ReplyDeletethe mcscams have proved there guilt by not answering the police guestion asked of them,if they have nothing to hide whats wrong with answering them all,did i hear you say more than once gerry WE are cooperating fully with the police!!! pity thats another lie
