Man arrested in jail murder hunt
A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of teacher Louise Evans who was found stabbed to death outside the prison where she worked.
The 48-year-old man was arrested in Ashford, Kent on Friday night.
The body of the single mother-of-two was found slumped behind her car in the grounds of East Sutton Park open prison, near Maidstone on Wednesday.
Police had said they wanted to speak to her former boyfriend Keith Prest in connection with their inquiries.
Ms Evans, 48, from Hothfield near Ashford, was employed as a literacy tutor by contractor A4e.
The company said it was providing helpline support to her colleagues at the site.
Ms Evans' daughters, aged 24 and 27, said: "We are devastated by what happened, she wasn't just our mother, she was our friend and loving sister."
East Sutton Park, a Category D jail holds both adult and young offender women in open conditions.
It is understood the murder is not being linked to inmates at the prison.
