A stupid cow gets her udders in a twist

A stupid cow gets her udders in a twist

Daily Mail columnist Allison Pearson aka Silly Old Moo

This silly cow has written "I refuse to believe the McCanns are guilty".

Such refuse should go straight in the bin. I find it hard to believe that she actually gets paid for churning out such crap.

"The past few days of Kate McCann's life may have rewritten the definition of hell".

I hope she is going through hell, and so she should be, and if she is its a hell of her own making. She doesn't get my sympathy vote.

"Imagine coming home for the first time since your four-year-old daughter disappeared and walking into her bedroom to find her toys, her clothes, all her things exactly as she left them, maybe never to be touched by her again".

Madeleine was a 3 year old when she disappeared. I would rather imagine her coming home as a 4 year old, to find all her things exactly as she left them. But, I can't conjure up the image, and her things never to be touched by her again, because of what mummy has done to her.

"And then try to imagine, on top of such unspeakable sorrow, that there are people out there who believe that you killed your child, and that for four months you have simply been acting the part of a heartbroken mother".

I can only imagine Kate McCann feeling sorrow for herself. It is good that there are rational people out there and don't allow emotions to cloud their judgements believing that she has killed her child. If Kate McCann's acting had not been so pathetic it might have been deserving of an Oscar. I would cue the violin but the strings are broken.

"As if that weren't bad enough, the police and social services have just held a meeting to discuss the future of your two-year-old twins in the light of allegations against you and your husband.

"Sean and Amelie McCann taken into care ?

"My stomach actually churned at the thought that Kate might lose the babies who have given her a reason to get out of bed and generally pretend to go on living since she and Gerry lost Madeleine".

If that wasn't bad enough, child neglect and/or abandonment, we have a case of infanticide, and a stupid journalist suggesting that the police and social services should fail in their duties to hold meetings to discuss the level of risk such irresponsible parents are towards the 2 year old twins. Sean and Amelie McCann should be taken into care. My stomach actually churns at the thought of leaving them at the mercy of a psychotic killer. What if she decides to commit suicide and take them with her? Kate and Gerry didn't lose Madeleine like you would lose a 20 pence piece. They disposed of her body. Unless she was dumped out to sea her body is not lost. It's lying out there somewhere.

"It's such a grotesque idea. But over the past few days, the McCann story has gathered momentum so quickly that nothing seems shocking or impossible any more".

Yes, we can agree that infanticide is such a grotesque idea. Given that nothing seems shocking or impossible any more, how come you came up with the title for your piece "I refuse to believe that the McCanns are guilty"?

"Imagine how thrilled those literally clueless Portuguese cops were to be handed some inconclusive DNA evidence they could talk up to scapegoat the British visitors who had become such a pain in the backside".

I don't imagine that the Portuguese police are thrilled at having to investigate this gruesome case of infanticide. They may get some satisfaction at discovering clues which point towards the involvement of the McCanns. As I understand it, no DNA is 100% but that is not to say that whatever the match is it is necessarily inconclusive. It is only the innocent and not the guilty who are scapegoats. It is one thing to be a pain in the arse of the authorities, I have done this myself, but a media campaign started to hide ones guilt is not legitimate and a burden that the Portuguese police should not have had to bear. They have my sympathy.

"Overnight, Gerry and Kate found themselves trapped in a nightmare straight out of Franz Kafka. A world where lack of hard evidence is taken as proof of guilt and innocent explanations are twisted to fit our darkest suspicions.

"During an 11-hour interrogation, Kate's Bible, for heaven's sake, was used as proof against her because one passage about a sick child was crumpled.

"Since when in the Western world are devout Christians considered suspicious for reading the Bible?

"Now Kate and Gerry have been named as official suspects, it suddenly feels as if it's open season on the doctors from Leicestershire".

The McCanns situation is nothing like that experienced by Joseph K in Kafka's The Trial. He didn't know what the charge was, the McCanns know what the charges are in their case. If they are undergoing a nightmare, I would get some satisfaction, however, the pressure they are feeling is justified and they could ease their lot by simply confessing. They are not be questioned by the police because they read the Bible, for fucksake, but because they are responsible for Madeleine's disappearance. The mistake was not naming them as suspects from the outset. They have tried to throw the hunters off the scent, but they are not poor foxes, stags or grouse. They deserve all that is coming their way.

"As for Kate, she attracts suspicion for the sin of being nicely turned out. I actually heard one man complain that she wore a different, clean T- shirt every day and matching earrings...Look at Kate McCann. Notice the checked trousers that fitted her four months ago flapping on her emaciated frame. Watch her head lean with infinite tenderness into her baby daughter's face".

The silly cow criticises someone for pointing out Kate McCann's attire, and then goes on to try to defend her by saying look at her clothes! I got the impression that she was using the child's head to shield herself from the photographers. When the media was sympathetic towards her she couldn't get enough of it, now the tiger has turned she wants to hide her face.

"Can anyone really believe that woman killed the child she went through two gruelling years of IVF to conceive?

"That she then hid the small body and strolled down with her husband to enjoy dinner with friends?

"That Gerry and Kate, devoted parents by all accounts, loaded Madeleine's decaying body into the boot of a hire car four weeks later while they were busy courting the international media to help find their child?".

Yes.

"Whatever you may think about the error they made in leaving their children alone that night, these people are not Fred and Rose West".

Nobody is saying that they are Fred and Rose West. However, lets not sweep the child neglect and/or abandonment under the carpet shall we?

"The deed the McCanns are accused of would have required such black, cold-hearted evil that I refuse to believe they are guilty unless overwhelming evidence is uncovered".

We agree on the first part. There is already strong circumstantial evidence.

"Home Secretary Jacqui Smith told the BBC she had full confidence in the Madeleine investigation.

"Well, you're on your own, honey. The British Government should be expressing disquiet to the Portuguese about the sorry excuse for an inquiry into Madeleine's disappearance - and the subsequent outrageous attempt to bully Kate into a quick confession".

I doubt very much that she is on her own you stupid cow. It is no business of the British government how Portugal conducts its own inquiry into British citizens unlawful conduct. Even her own lawyer has said that no deal was offered and that she was not bullied during the police questioning. It's part of the job of the police to get confessions from suspects. Are you now advocating that child killers should be exempt from police questioning? That would be a first for a Daily Mail journalist!

"Debate is already turning to whether the McCanns, as they fight to clear their names, should be able to dip into the £1 million Madeleine Fund to pay for legal help.

"My answer, unhesitatingly, is yes. That money was given by the public to try to secure Madeleine's safe return".

My answer is no. They have already committed fraud by setting the fund up to deceive people, and criminals should not benefit from their crime. Once again, a Daily Mail journalist is acting a little odd to say the least.

"What hope of justice can there be for Madeleine if the only line of inquiry is into her beloved mother and father?".

More hope than pursuing a false abduction story put out by the McCanns.

  4. But Jailhouse, what would the McCann's motive be?

  6. Kris: If we take the theory that one of them lashed out, then there was no motive. The same, if death occurred as a result of a drug overdose.

The motive for disposing of the body is to cover up the crime and try to save their professional reputations. An inquiry would most likely have led to the twins being taken into care.

I think they had nothing to lose by going for it. If they had succeeded only they would have known the truth.

If it was a cover up for an accident then what kind of accident was it for them to go to such extremes? This is the part which leaves me cold.
Some years ago a couple I knew went on holiday and one of their children went running through the back door of a friend's house they were visiting. He ran into the back garden where he saw no fence and he ran off a cliff and died. It was an accident and the family didn't need to lie. No charges were brought.
Two nights ago I read, in the Liverpool comic/echo, that the parents of Kate McCann knew that their daughter and son-in-law took caplon, the drug they were asked about giving to their kids to get them to sleep. You showed the video where G scratches his eye.

circumstantial evidence without Forensic proof would make a conviction unsafe.
As for psychotic, don't you mean psychopathic?

I seem to recall an incident (in London?) recently where a child inocently walked into a bedroom when the parents were involved in 'further baby making activities' and the father lashed out and killed the child. I seem to recall that he hels a senior position in one of the major global banks

Perhaps the McCanns were engaged in a bit of baby making shall we say, and Madeline (who they thought was asleep already) walked into the room, and either Kate or Gerry in embarresment or anger lashed out at her causing her an injury that they then felt the need to cover up, explaining the blood found in the flat

    Dan:

the father worked for Swiss Re - and is now up for murder. Coincidentally, it was on teletext late yesterday evening.

  11. Dan and Liz: I have already linked this case to the McCanns when it was first reported to show that it was not unheard of for a professional middle class person to lash out.

Well, I have lodged a comment on Allison Pearson's bit of bum-licking reminding her that the parents left their YOUNG children alone in a hotel room while they went out and enjoyed themselves. I wonder if she will publish it?

Just to inform you of the result of my comment on allison pearson's article. She never published my comment despite the polite manner in which I posted it. It would appear that Ms. Pearson, or the Mail will only publish what it needs to reinforce their particular opinion at the time, the same as all scummy news?papers really.

Just goes to prove that you can't believe what they print. Pearson has carefuly vetted every comment to make it appear that the public are 99 per cent behind her.
    The smug bitch.
