Dalai Lama's US Medal Upsets China
China has reacted with anger.
``We solemnly demand that the U.S. cancel the extremely wrong arrangements,'' said Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi. ``It seriously violates the norm of international relations and seriously wounded the feelings of the Chinese people and interfered with China's internal affairs.''
I think China doth protesteth too much...
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
If China cared so much about internal affairs it should not have invaded Tibet and interfeared with its own internal affairs.
ReplyDeleteHi Nich, I couldn't agree more. The argument they put up is pathetic. I used to get at least 6 visits from China a day until the authorities censored me with the Great Firewall of China.
