McCanns: Poll do you believe they are guilty?

McCanns: Poll do you believe they are guilty?

Feel free to take part in the poll in the side bar. You have 4 options; guilty; not guilty; don't know; and, don't care.

  1. Just voted yes, now its time for Judge Jeffries to don the black hat and pass sentence.

  3. Indeed, must be the crocodile tears she shed the other day whilst massaging her ego, sorry looking for Maddie; at one point I was half expecting Steve Irving to turn up!

  4. fidothedog: Steve Irwin will turn up in Morocco...

  5. Thats more than Maddie will be, never mind the yellow wristbands the money would be better spent on some sniffer dogs and heat seeking equipment to find where they buried the corpse.

    Elvis Presley was the abducter....

    Real opinion? Accidental overdose and cover up. Guilty Mr. Crunchieee!

  7. I'm with the accidental overdose theory.
    If they had only come clean at the beginning they might have enjoyed some sympathy from the public.
    Now when the truth does come out, it'll be the nearest lamp post for both of them.

  8. Either way, they left their kids alone to swan off and have a meal & drinks with some chums.

    Had they been Kevin & Tracey from the local council estate rather than middle class doctors they would have had to face a trial for child neglect.

    Kate McCann thinks she is hard done by in the media, yet because of her "respected position" as a doctor she has got off very lightly.

  9. I think there is enough evidence for child neglect and/or child abandonment charges. Then there is the last people to see Madeleine tend to be prime suspects in police investigations until they can safely be discounted. I don't think that the McCanns failing to answer so many of the police questions can safely discount them from being suspects. Then there is the setting up of a fund which appears to be financing the McCanns lifestyle rather than being used to find Madeleine. Finally, there is the PR campaign to clear their names. If you were innocent and had nothing to hide why would you need a spin doctor to spin lies for you?

  10. Indeed, if they were advised to take on spin doctors then they should look at how that has blown up in the faces of politicians on many an occasion.

    Plus those constant rumblings about them threatening to sue anyone who questions their view of things, very much like a Egyptian owner of Harrods used to due.

  11. Tut, John...I don't believe you are doing this. We are not in possession of all the evidence, after all.

    :-)

  12. julie: What's evidence got to do with it? This is to do with what people believe. I think Clarence Mitchell's PR does not appear to be working too well on this blog.

  14. John, I think you deserve some credit here: You were one of the first voices in the UK blogosphere, back in late May/early June, to speak out about your doubts re the McCanns. Funny how everybody criticised you back then, but it's a totally different story now.
    Just goes to show how much the media drives public opinion.

  15. Tom: It's early days on the poll yet but I think 80% guilty gives some indication about peoples disquiet about the whole case.

    I would like to see a conclusion to the case. How long can they drag out the "we're totally innocent victims" line?

    Guilty of what ??

    Neglect? Manslaughter ? Murder ?

    Please elaborate ...

  17. Fair enough - can't know quite what I believe yet though, without knowing what the evidence is. They do act guiltily, but that could be because they left the kids. And the cadaver dog - if that's true, well, enough said. Yes, Clarrie is such a disaster - he's not doing them any favours.

    Guilty, indeed.
    And that's a shame that they had the police doing all they can, the people supporting them just to turn against us - I'm portuguese - when the truth started to show.
    In Portugal the search for this child was (and still is) something never seen. And, unfortunately, many other children disapear. But maybe their parents are not as well connected as Maddy's parents.
    Some parents would give everything to get they children back. Others are guilty and play a game for tv show.

    Voted yes.

    Disgusted they should feel the need or even think about trademarking their missing
    childs name....and don't even mention the Company....!

  20. anonymous 5.29: Take your pick from any or all of these I posted earlier:

    What crimes have been committed so far?
    1. Unlawful killing;
    2. Unlawfully administering drugs to minors;
    3. Conspiracy;
    4. Robbing the coroner of a body;
    5. Wasting police time;
    6. Perverting the course of justice.

    We can add to this list number 7, the fraud and deception with the setting up of the findmadeleinefund.

    Update: I forgot to add child neglect and/or child abandonment to the list.

    what this couple of sick MF´s is doing is to use the portuguese law status of "Arguidos" that has to be dismissed in case no evidence is found of a corpse within the 6 months time frame... They know that better than anyone and that's why they've flown back to Britain the day after being named "Arguidos". From home, they can put their campaign back on track since only they (and eventually their friends) know were and how have they hidden that poor little girls body.
    I just hope the bitch breaks down soon. Guess we all feel sick of them actually... "The twins" they used to call Sean and Amelie in the beggining of all this... only long after were they given names... That only would be enough to trace their profile. Anyway... They're putting together events to sign the God knows how long the girls been missing... That's not a thing a parent would do unless he/she wasn't quite sure that the missing child wouldn't show up somewhere in between. The reason why they are so sure that she ain't gonna is simply because they know she's bloody dead! Accidentally eventualy; only God knows, but... This whole thing seems to have gotten out of hand and became far greater than themselves... Have you seen their bloody site lately? "normal life"... Who are they trying to fool but their own selves? Who's life would ever be anywhere near "normal" when one of your kid's missing? Do this bloody bastards think we're all 3 years old?

    Yes but it's only eighty per cent of less than a thousand, and against that there is the relentless, disgraceful spin of the cunts at the BBC and in the dead tree press; there is the apparent and astonishing imprimatur of Leicester Social Services Child Protection people; the blatant support of the UK prime minister, the BMA, the FRCS, the GP committee, Leicester Constabulary, the office of the Attorney General of the US, the University Hospital Trust Leicester, the house of commons and the Pope to name but a few. Who is it exactly that we are fooling here ? And I ask as one who was kicking-up fuck on the message boards of the Scottish broadsheets since a couple of days after the wee girl "disappeared."

    Unless the PJ nick them - and Gay Gordon has clearly asked them not to - they are home free, loathed and despised but having got away with murder and it doesn't matter how many people on here call them a pair of cunts. Somebody of course could start a petition calling for a private prosecution either for neglect or homicide,. It is difficult to see how the former could be defended. Anybody up for it?
