A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate"
(Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

Thought crime or terrorism?
Thought crime or terrorism?
Whatever else you want to call this, I don't believe that his conduct amounts to terrorism. I believe that he has been convicted of thought crime.
I have read the link to the story and it can honestly be compared to downloading child porn to your computer. That is also a thought crime in basic terms but will land you in the dock as in the case of wassisface as mentioned a few weeks back on this very blog 'ere.
Also Pete Townsend got done for the very same, innit?
transfattyacid: I think everything on his website was already available on the internet. The thinking might have been present but there appeared to be no physical act.
kris: More ideas than action. A long way from a 9/11 or 7/7.
Could have been worse he could have run into John Smeaton!

ReplyDeleteThe inchoate crimes my be considered "thought crimes", but they are not being rolled out to pick on a poor islamist terrorist.
Conspiracy, attempts, possession...sorry, but I think this is one dangerous muppet who deserves to be at Gitmo.
