A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate"
(Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
Hello, I just started reading your blog recently. Just to clear up the BBC's latest bit of shoddy reporting. Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is NON means tested, it's supposed to be for the additional costs for disabled people (from what I've read elsewhere this man was originally ill and claiming genuinely) and so as long as he met the criteria for DLA he was perfectly entitled to claim that and work as mayor. The income support however being means tested is an entirely different matter! Bendy Girl

Much the same as in any walk of life, some folk are honest and some folk are not. But most of us are a little dishonest. If we can get away with that extra item on our insurance claim form. That expense claim just a little higher than it should be. As long as everything is just a little bit, then that's OK, that's allowed. Unless you get caught, then I'm afraid you're on you own, and we'll tut-tut with the rest of the honest folk.

Bloody hell are there any councilors any where or any party who are not on the take, or not doing something dubious?
ReplyDeletefidothedog: Is that a rhetorical question?
