Belatedly, Bertie Ahern has done the right thing and resigned. In complete contrast, the Speaker Michael Martin, refuses to resign even after his press officer Mike Grannatt resigned for misleading the media on his behalf.

Perhaps, those in Westminister should take a leaf out of the book of Irish politics?
