The McCanns should stop running long enough to answer police questions
It is understandable that Gerry and Kate McCann are upset about the revelation that "Madeleine McCann complained to her mother after she was left crying and alone on the night before she disappeared". It is evidence of child neglect by the McCanns. What makes it worse is that the McCanns ignored the cries of their abandoned children and neglected them again the next night. Rather than face the guilt of their own actions, the McCanns have sought to blame stranger danger and call for an Amber Alert system. As pointed out “what they should be doing is campaigning on the theme of ‘Do not leave your children unattended in unlocked apartments whilst you enjoy alcohol-fuelled dinners at a distance where you cannot observe them, as we did'”.
I noticed that Clarence Mitchell was angry that the Portuguese police stole their thunder, and yet there was no denial as to the statement's truth. And, whereas Kate McCann referred to Madeleine by name, I found it rather odd that Gerry McCann only referred to Madeleine as "the child".
The McCanns are scared to return to Portugal whilst they are still declared as suspects. They seek the removal of the suspects label. Surely, the only way they can be formally cleared is to subject themselves to the outstanding police questions and only if they answer them to the police satisfaction will they be cleared as being suspects?
Glad to see the back of the McCanns
They had to say something to try and explain about the children crying at night as the Old Lady in the flat above had reported it to the Police.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know it was the PJ that leaked it? The McCann's, the Mccann's lawyers (portuguese), the interpreter and the british embassy official would also know what was in their statements.
Seems to me, the McCann's may have most to gain by putting this in the public domain, an iffy case of child neglect v a very serious case of manslaughter and perverting the course of Justice..
Come on, tapas7, one of you must have a conscience and be able to tell the truth. Get it off your chest. It will look better for you rather than wait for it to come out in the wash. Truth does out eventually and I sense it won't be long.Have courage.
ReplyDeleteThis is all too depressing. I was really hoping the McCann's had passed into history along with 2007. There'd never be a rational discussion of this case - not when media commentators think that what's significant about a toddler crying on their own at night is that an intruder might have been about or that the Portuguese Police are somehow the villains of the piece for letting people know. I think ordinary members of the public should call time on this endless mind game. Anywhere you read or hear the name 'McCann' - don't read, don't watch, don't listen, don't comment. And as for the Portuguese legal system, maybe it should enter the real world so people can't make a mockery of the entire Portugal. Personally, I'd hand the case over to the West Yorkshire Police, or best still to Gene Hunt of Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars fame.
ReplyDeleteThat's it, I've had enough, I'm off for a lie down in a darkened room.
