A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate"
(Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

Pair told to stop fund-raising
Pair told to stop fund-raising
"A couple who have raised funds for the RNLI for years have been told to stop unless they pay for a £5m insurance policy".
Yet another plea to Health and Safety to condone nanny-like behaviour.
'It seems that Freebridge Community Housing, the housing association that runs Neville Court, have decreed that cards present a health and safety risk, and as such the game has been banned.
The housing association does not have £2M public liability insurance to cover players who were not residents.'
I have directed you to Nanny Knows Best where you can get the original story - even though he is a rabid Tory !!! Have fun.
As somebody pointed out in one of the comments on "nanny knows best"
"Council staff enjoy, in general terms, excellent pension schemes. These schemes are usually set up with private insurance companies and of course, the final pension payout relies on the profitability of those insurance companies......Now I wonder...No, councils wouldn't be so dishonest and sneaky to require compulsory insurance be taken out just to boost their staff pension funds would they?"
