Data loss firm contract axed

Data loss firm contract axed

A company which lost the details of thousands of criminals held on a computer memory stick has had its £1.5m contract terminated after an inquiry.

Where's your memory stick? I've forgotten where it is. Titter ye not...

"The work had now been taken in-house" so that the government can lose the data for themselves, that way they will know for themselves that the data has been very securely lost.

    jailhouselawyer,

How can Straw say details are 'not in the wrong hands' ? Does he know who has the confidential data ?

Britain has no security ... Government will undoubtedly give the lucrative contract to another 'private firm' who will not be held accountable for security or loss.
