Immigrants and asylum-seekers to be denied justice in courts shake up

Immigrants and asylum-seekers to be denied justice in courts shake up

One of the worst judges I have ever come across, Lord Justice Carnwath (pictured above), is to oversee the reform of the tribunal service.

The whole point of having judicial review is to provide a check upon decision-makers. However, for political reasons, the government is seeking to return more immigrants and asylum seekers therefore it is wishing to hide the injustices by keeping everything internalised. That is, the court of first instance and appeal within a single tribunal. "This move could lead to immigrants and asylum-seekers losing the right to go to the High Court for a judicial review".
