Drug dealer posts updates on Facebook from jail

Drug dealer posts updates on Facebook from jail

Jailed drug dealer Shane Smith has been updating his Facebook website page from inside his prison cell.

Smith was jailed for two and a half years in April for peddling cocaine and handling stolen goods, but is still communicating with family and friends on the outside, over the social networking site.

Life behind bars does not seem too hard for the 25-year-old who has been playing online games on the site, updating his status and even accepting friend requests.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Justice had contacted the bosses of Facebook about the inappropriate postings.

Smith has been in custody since his home was raided on February 3 and officers found £2,000 in cash and cocaine with a street value of £1,550.

  1. So what? thats the least offensive thing going on in our jails, there is drug taking that even when there is a famine out here on the outside flourishes within the jail walls.
I visit prisoners whom have no family, I can tell you that its the conduct of the guards we ought to be more concerned with..
A heroin eddict prisoner I visit told me that officers frequently gave him names and details of sex offenders and their crimes, they then fascilitate him being in the right place to give the afore mentioned offenders some serious beatings not intervening untill they are satisfied with the end result!!
ok, some may say, sex offenders, but how sure can anyone be that some evil callous guard does not just give the name od a prisoner who they deem needs a beating because or attitude..
