Nasty party say MPs pay should be doubled plus expenses
Following the claim by multi-millionaire Tory MP Alan Duncan, that he is on rations because the £64,766 MPs salary is only 4 X the national average. We now have another senior Tory, Sir Patrick Cormack, stating that MPs should receive more than 100% pay rise to more than £130,000, plus expenses, and in return MPs will scrap the £20,000+ second home allowance!
Talk about snouts in the trough, the aptly named Douglas Hogg, another Tory grandee, supports Sir Patrick Cormack's absurd claim.
So much for David Cameron taking a hard line on the fiddled expenses issue! The only line he takes is a line of coke!
It seems to me that what is being said here is that they will stop fiddling if we give into their demands to pay them over 100% more wages. This sounds like demanding money with menaces or at least blackmail.

UPDATE:
Sir Patrick Cormack is just plain wrong
"MPs are already in the top 3% of earners in the UK".
What happened in Russia to the royal family?
