We could do much worse than have David Davis as Home secretary.

ReplyDeleteYes Alan Johnson is doing a good job, a very good job IMHO. But if we do have a change of government which looks most likely then David Davis as far as I can see would be a good replacement.
ReplyDeleteLike Johnson, Davis is a council estate lad so he is well aware of real life.
This is all conjecture at the moment though as Grayling is pencilled in for that job.
I have reservations about Davis. As for Grayling, perhaps the pencil should be shoved up his arse! His soundbite on raising prison population to 100,000 is business motivated. Aitken and his chum are pushing their private prison design.
