Paper terrorists to be released early from prison
I find it incredible that anyone could receive a 15 year prison sentence just for having notes on how to fire mortar bombs. Andrew Rowe, a Muslim convert, had his sentence reduced to 10 years by the Court of Appeal. I would still argue it was much too severe given the circumstances. In any event, he and about 30 others are due to be released from prison early. It has now been recognised that barbaric sentences could be counter productive, and have the effect of provoking terrorist attacks.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
