When I read that the McCanns went to Portugal for this case, I thought they can when it suits their financial interests but not went it suits justice to take part in a reconstruction of the night of 3 May 2007.
Madeleine was killed between 5-30 and 7.30pm that night in Apartment 5A, and Gerry and Kate McCann then went out for drinks and a meal with their friends. But, not before Gerry disposed of Madeleine's body. Then approximately 9pm Gerry was setting the scene for a fake break-in. Their cover story was to be that an abductor kidnapped Madeleine to explain her disappearance. At 10pm Kate puts on the performance of her life, an act worthy of an Oscar, claiming to have discovered that Madeleine has disappeared.
The rest as we say is history.
Because Kate was criticised in her first performance for not shedding any tears, in this second performance she displayed crocodile tears in a desperate attempt to convince people she had not killed Madeleine. I for one am not convinced.
The McCanns need to answer questions in relation to the 2 hour period when Kate was alone with the 3 children in Apartment 5A and Gerry was playing tennis.
