Dogs banned from almost all parks in council area

Newark and Sherwood District council has banned dogs from nearly all of its parks, playgrounds and open spaces in the most severe clampdown seen in England and Wales.

Council in Nottinghamshire has put the extensive dog control orders (DCOs) in place after some owners failed to clean up after their pets in public places.

But the Kennel Club and the Dogs Trust claimed they were the most "draconian" they had ever seen, and gave warning that if other local authorities followed suit, dog owners would find it impossible to look after their pets properly.

I have seen this done by a prison governor, punish the majority for the sake of a few. And there was I thinking that collective punishments were illegal?
