MoJ: Don't call us, we'll call you

MoJ: Don't call us, we'll call you

Contact us

Public queries: 020 3334 3555

If you call the above number, you get a recorded message asking if you want x,y or z and if so to press 1,2 or 3.

If you want none of the above, the recorded message tells you to stay on the line for the operator.

You stay on the line, and get another recorded message this time asking you to leave a message.

Alternatively, you can call the number below...

Press queries: 020 3334 3536

You do actually get to speak to a person, a Press Officer, who offers to transfer you back to the Public queries: 020 3334 3555 where you know you are getting nowhere and only going around in circles. This reminds me of prisoners walking in circles around a prison exercise yard...

All I was trying to find out is why the Council of Europe has released a press statement over 2 weeks ago, condemning the UK for its failure to implement the Court decision in Hirst No2, and so far the MoJ has not responded. All we have had is two fob off answers, one in the House of Lords, and one in the House of Commons.

What is it that the MoJ does not wish to tell us?
