Murderer of inmate is not a convicted sex offender!

Murderer of inmate is not a convicted sex offender!

News...

"The 44-year-old man was found with head injuries in G Wing at Grendon Prison in Buckinghamshire at about 3.30pm on Sunday".

History...

"I'm sitting in on the Monday meeting on G-wing. There is no segregation at Grendon, but offenders are grouped according to their crimes so that in therapy groups they will have common ground. G-wing is for sex offenders".

UPDATE: I have since spoken to the Governor of Gendon Underwood, Peter Bennett, and I asked him about G Wing and the information that it is all convicted sex offenders. He said that this used to be the case, however, because of repairs to one of the Wings it meant that now some non sex offenders are housed on G Wing. Therefore, the killer is not as originally claimed a sex offender. I did have a couple of doubts when I ran with the story, for example, whether there was inter-Wing visits etc. So, it would appear rather than the POA blaming cuts for the killing a factor must be the risk of allowing this inmate mix for administrative convenience.

Post headline updated to reflect this "not" being substituted for "also".

That's really fucked up. Severe incompetence at management level. As per usual, they'll get away with it though...
