A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
How can they properly be called an 'independent' commission? Some of them seem to have made their mind up before they even started.
ReplyDeleteTo me it's a bit like asking a Manchester United supporter to conduct an 'independent review' of a game featuring Manchester United.
Tim: I too wondered what was meant by "independent"! I agree that they already have made up their minds. It is ridiculous to set up an inquiry into something intended not to be inquiried into.
