Marr misses his chance with Harman
This morning on The Andrew Marr Show Harriet Harman made a couple of comments that I take issue with.
First she said that we like to take pride in not being a corrupt country. In my view, it's riddled with corruption.
Second she said for those of us who believe in sovereignty of the people, as though it is a concept we are familiar with in this country. In the UK we have the doctrine of he sovereignty of Parliament which is not the same thing. On the other hand, Europe is familiar with the sovereignty of the people whereas the sovereignty of Parliament is not recognised.
Why didn't Andrew Marr challenge Harriet Harman's misconceptions?
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
