Mandy says business as usual as bombs go off...

On the one hand, Business Secretary, Peter Mandelson, went to Iraq with a delegation of British businessmen to spread the message that it is safe to do business in Iraq.

On the other hand, "Six car bombs tore through Baghdad yesterday, killing more than 30 people and wounding at least 90...The streets of the capital told a different story, however, as people moved to wash away the blood and debris from the bombings".

As Mandelson cowered "in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone with British delegates and a selection of Iraqi ministers", he claimed that “The perpetrators of yesterday's bombings are cowards”.

I don't suppose that there were any discussions about Iraq controlling their oil in the so-called "growing prosperity for the Iraqi people" as envisaged by Peter Mandelson?
