Robber's death could lead to murder charge

Robber's death could lead to murder charge

"A shopkeeper could be charged with murder after defending himself against an armed robber who was killed by his own knife, police said yesterday".

It beggars belief that the police could even think of sending the papers to the CPS for a decision whether to prosecute in this case. It's a waste of time and money. What jury would convict him in these circumstances?

UPDATE: No charges after robber's death

Surely the issue here is that Mr Singh was attacked with a knife and used reasonable force to repel said attack with the robber's own equipment? The Shopkeeper suffered stab wounds, it was just luck that his attacker died of the same wounds he tried to inflict on the shopkeeper. Had the attacker not been killed it would have to have been the shopkeeper eho would have been killed, therefore making it a clear case that he had only used reasonable force to subdue the attacker. After all, he didn't ask the bloke to come at him with a knife.

If this bloke gets done for manslaughter it will be proof absolute that there is a stinking rot in british justice.
