Are Americans really that stupid?
A 14-year-old girl has been accused of child pornography for posting nearly 30 explicit nude pictures of herself on MySpace.com - charges that could force her to register as a sex offender if convicted.
This young girl may not be the sharpest pencil in the box, and it was a pretty stupid thing to do, still it does not make her a child sex offender and America needs to wake up and smell the coffee!

I'm afraid I find the whole concept of charging minors with child sex offences a little bit of a anomaly. The whole point of legislation regarding child sex offences should surely, yes even in the USA, be to protect minors from predatory adults, not from each other and, god forbid, certainly not from themselves.
Would not a social worker, or perhaps a child psychologist, have been a slightly less absurd solution to this child's little display of exhibitionism?
