Don't forget that men can be victims of domestic violence too
The latest Home Office figures for 2007/8 show 2.2% of women of any age said their partner used minor or severe force against them over the last year. The figure for men was slightly lower at 2.0%.
Across all age ranges, one in four women have been abused compared with one in six men.
Given the above statistics, I find that the following is more than just a bit sexist...

A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

If a woman "loses it" and hits a man then then the word provocation seems to be on the tip of everyone's tongue. When it is the other way round it seems the bloke is just a bastard, full stop, and that absolutely nothing can justify the action. That must be what they call equality for women I suppose.
