2 cash for law Lords given 6 months suspended sentences

Lord Truscott and Lord Taylor of Blackburn suspended from the House of Lords

Two Labour peers have been suspended from the House of Lords after they were found guilty of offering to change the law in return for money.

Comment: I think they got off very lightly indeed. What a pity the leniency cannot be appealed.

JHL, you have the wrong pictures on this post. The first one is obviously some kind of tortoise's head and the second is an unkindly shaved roborovski hamster.

WHICH brings one to think.... Just how many of our laws have been changed to favour those with a private company i.e. the companies which manufacture speed cameras and those with an interest in selling surveillance equipment TO NAME just but TWO instances? Open disclosure for members of parliament is the only way to go.

BUT it won't ever 'appen... Or will it?
