The Shadow Home Secretary denied last night that the Conservatives were planning a “licence to kill burglars” as lawyers suggested that it would be unwise to go beyond allowing people to use reasonable force to protect themselves.

It's a fundamental that that man who breaks into your home does not go out in one piece.
And, as in the case of Tony Martin you don't take the law into your own hands when the burglar is retreating.
Justice. What justice?
Anyone who breaks into anothers property automatically forfeits any rights. Best not to burgle really.
