The McCanns should be wary of this case

The McCanns should be wary of this case

I hope that Gerry and Kate McCann are paying attention to this case Man jailed for murder committed 30 years ago. And, I hope that it does not take that long for Madeleine to get her justice.

It is worth noting that the McCanns challenged the Portuguese to find Madeleine's body. However, in this case "The former lover of a casino heiress was jailed yesterday for her murder 30 years ago, despite the fact that no body has ever been found".

"The jury at Aix-en-Provence criminal court chose to ignore Agnelet's argument that no details of where, when or how the crime was committed had ever been produced.

Instead they decided that a web of lies spun by Agnelet was sufficient proof of guilt. The judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison.

The McCanns have spun a web of lies. It is arguable that that in itself should be enough to convict them.

I dont think they could care less to be honest. I cannot disagree with anything you say but it is starting to look like they are getting away with everything.

They must have some very powerful people working for them and they must be costing a bomb!

Oh I forgot they are not paying are they!!

I dont think anyone has the guts to do anything anymore.

Sometimes the wheels of justice seem to be going backwards but one day I am sure that they will be found guilty, maybe that cop will even get his job back?

alex: I think they are bothered. It is as though they had a honeymoon period, and now they are facing married life and everything is not so rosy. It is quite possible that they will appear to get away with it for a number of years, and then comes the crunch.

fido: Injustice is swift justice grinds hell of a lot slower. They will not get back their image they created up until they became official suspects. I see it as a block of marble that you chip away at until eventually you produce the finished article.

According to John Hirst, "The McCanns have spun a web of lies."

How does he know?

You are entitled to your opinion, but in my opinion, you're a sick, twisted and evil man to insist that the McCanns killed their own daughter.

blueberry, John is saying what is clear from the McCanns own mouths!

Most people over a period of time change a story slightly, either to sex it up or shorten because thats what happens. The McCanns have dramatically changed their stories and so have their friends. They have remembered things suddenly after press leaks from the police!

That does not make them guilty just because they are spinning the media.

We must not however forget that a crime has been committed, Someone must be responsable for leaving those kids. I feel the McCanns are also liable for Mr Murats treatment. While they have been receiving donations, Murat is skint and damaged.

Would the fund feel it is right that an innocent man should be assisted in repairing his reputation? I dont think many people care and I bet the loving christians dont.

What is clear even negative talk of the McCanns is desirable by their media machine. It gives the opportunity for the MacCanns to keep themselves in the public domain. It is really amazing that after nearly six months, all they are talking about is themselves and not Madeleine. It is widely beleived that she is dead, Of course no one actually knows that, but history says otherwise.

It seems so unlikely that she was abducted and thats the police line that there must be a different option. That focus is the McCanns.

I am not making this up, this is fact. So when John says what he says he is making an observation from factual evidence.

The Labour government wanted to bring in a law to prosecute parents whose kids had damaged property. I would vote for a law that prosecutes and criminalises parents whose children have 'disappeared', or who show any unaccountable injuries, or signs of neglect.
If you badly treat an animal you are prevented from owning another, and quite right. However, this is not true when it comes to children. I believe a human being's life is of greater value than an animal's life, therefore we should castrate and sterilise the parents. Damn, the McCanns are still let off.
Did they pay for their test tube kids or where they free of charge as well?

Anon 9.20 I do agree with your sentiment, radical though it is. To silence an illiteracy accusation; it is 'were' and not 'where'.
