'Inhumane and oppressive': the final verdict on Britain's asylum policy
"The most comprehensive examination of the UK's asylum system ever conducted has found it "marred by inhumanity" and "not yet fit for purpose".
The report, published by the Independent Asylum Commission, is a damning indictment of the Home Office's failure to deal fairly with those applying for sanctuary in this country".
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.

Not wishing to be a thorn in the side of this post my mate, but what would the authors of this report say about China/ Tunisia /Portugal or even SIBERIA ,(where my dad was brought up) My dad was a child when he was taken to Siberia. He, and the rest of his family had to fashion their own shoes out of Birch bark. Thats the truth. He could tell you a thing or two about 'Inhumane and oppressive' :) He survived the Nazi regime.
