MPs given tighter rules on expenses

MPs given tighter rules on expenses

"MPs will have to submit receipts for expenses claims over £25 - instead of the current limit of £250 - from 1 April, the Commons Members Estimate Committee announced today".

In my view, this does not go far enough. It still allows MPs to claim 7x£25=£175 per week without any explanation.

Receipts for every penny the thieving hypocrites want off of us would be a better response.
If they moan about the hassle just point out its not exactly coming out of their own pockets.
I noticed a posting somewhere recently about MP's second homes, how they were benefiting at our expense from the rise in house prices.
Well thats another perk that should be sorted out by only allowing them to pocket what they actually paid originally for the place.
Any profit should go straight back into our coffers,

Can't see why they should be given ANY wining and dining expenses at all, let alone a taxpayer financed second home.

Build them an MPs barrack block at the nearest army depot for those MPs who live out of London, where they can be fed and bedded at minimal expense to the taxpayer.
