MPs say vote for us and we will rob you all blind

"MPs are planning to award themselves an across-the-board £23,000 second home allowance to remove the embarrassment of submitting expenses claims".

"The committee chairing a review of Parliamentary expenses and allowances, chaired by the Speaker, Michael Martin, is said to be considering an automatic lump sum of around £23,000, which would avoid the exposure of public scrutiny of receipts for small household items".

Given that MPs are supposed to be accountable to the electorate, I feel that they should account for this disgraceful conduct. To stop public scrutiny of their expenses claims, they have decided to award themselves a £23,000 pay rise. This is not just snouts in the trough, they are wallowing in the trough!

I'm afraid nothing short of stringing a few of them up from the nearest lamp posts is going to get any sanity back in Westminster.
