Iran arrests pigeons 'spying' on nuclear site

Iranian security forces have arrested two suspected 'spy pigeons' near the Natanz nuclear facility.

One of the pigeons was caught near a rose water production plant in the city of Kashan in Isfahan province, the Etemad Melli newspaper reported. It said that some metal rings and "invisible" strings were attached to the bird, suggesting that it might have been somehow communicating what it had seen with the equipment it was carrying.

"Early this month, a black pigeon was caught bearing a blue-coated metal ring, with invisible strings," a source told the newspaper

jailhouselawyer,

How bizarre ... how could any bird 'know' what it was looking at ?

A ringed pigeon landed on our roof a few weeks ago ... it was looking for food and rest from exhaustion. As predicted on google, it fed, rested and departed within 48 hours.

I was tickled too.
but we know pigeons have been used to carry messages for thousands of years. Scientists believed pigeons use position of the sun, familiar landmarks, and Earth's magnetic field to find their lofts.. Pigeons also have wonderful eyesight, they can see ultraviolet light and they can fly fast and very far...

Anyway ...nice blog
cheers!

It seems that so many seemingly innocent things in life have "invisible strings" attached.
