Goodbye Firefox 3 nothing but a pain in the arse
Goodbye Firefox 3 nothing but a pain in the arse
Bye. Come again when you get your act sorted out...
Merkin: It kept coming up with the message that it had encountered a problem and needed to close. All I do is open regular sites, or try putting the URL address of my post into Technorati ping and I got fed up of being messed about.
Perhaps, I need a new computer? I've only had this just over 2 years and already the white lettering is disappearing from the keyboard keys.
As a MAC user, Firefox is essential for me to use on Blogger. Safari isn't compatible and pretty much requires that I write my own HTML. Blogger is geared for Windows users, so regardless I'm still at a disadvantage. I haven't tried Wordpress, but my son wants me to the iWeb with Apple. I just can't seem to get the hang of it.
Merkin: I've figured it out. And reinstalled Firefox 3.1.2 beta.
If Firefox was encountering a problem and needed to close, then I don't think the problem was with Firefox. Rather it is with my computer, and whatever was on the other site which it couldn't cope with.
I will have to see about getting another computer that has a better chance of keeping up with me.

Everyone says they have a problem with firefox, but mine still seems to be working except for when I try to blog using wordpress....
Cherrypie: The problem I have with wordpress is that it keeps telling me to sign in even when I tick the box to remember me!

Dunno the answer John.
My computer is ancient in computing terms but I've had no probs with FF.
Seems it is just your Donald Duck because some people have no trouble at all.
It so happens that at my last re-format I left half the hard drive free to be able to install Linux.
Maybe, once I can be arsed, I'll get round to actually doing it!!
