Mark Leech editor of ConVerse went from bad to worse

Mark Leech editor of ConVerse went from bad to worse

Conman Mark Leech

I was rather hoping to read over Easter how Interpol arrested sex tourist Mark Leech who has a place in Thailand, which is famous for drugs and underage sex, however, he appears to have slipped through their net, snake that he is.

In any event, I can exclusively report that both the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and Bar Standards Board are conducting investigations into complaints lodged about Mark Leech. The complaints relate to a claim by Mark Leech to be a qualified LLB(Hons), to be accredited and approved by both the SRA and BSB in relation to the "Mickey Mouse" physically non-existent Institute of Prison Law (IPL). Because Leech is unqualified himself as a lawyer, the question was raised who monitors and supervises his activities? The SRA and BSB only regulates those who are qualified. Therefore, their own accreditation and approval of Leech and the IPL is called into question, and may lead to allegations that Leech is bringing them into disrepute.

In related news: The Legal Services Commission is aware that there is no supervision of qualified lawyers practicing in the area of prison law, and is suggesting that this role is filled by someone who has at least 350 hours of practicing prison law. Given that Mark Leech claims that they are competent after 10 hours of study, his unqualified judgement leaves much to be desired.

Leech who thrives on empire building will find it crumbling around him on the legal front, in his gutter press rag ConVerse, and even the Prisoners Handbook appears about to be threatened by a rival publication.
