11-year-old Sam Linton died of an asthma attack after being left in a school corridor by a teacher, an inquest found.
Sam was found alone and gasping for breath by two fellow pupils after his class tutor, Janet Ford, sent him to sit outside the classroom.
When one of the children told Miss Ford, 46, what she had seen, the teacher told the child to "go away" because she was "in a meeting", adding: "I know Sam's there. He will have to wait."
The boy was not taken to hospital until his mother Karen arrived at the end of the day, having been told her son was ill. He died shortly afterwards.
His doctor later said he could have been saved if he had been taken to hospital immediately.
It is bad enough when teachers sexually abuse under age children. But, it takes the biscuit when a teacher is more concerned about attending a meeting than attending a dying child!

Amazing what you can be done for, and what you can't. Incredibly sad. Looks like a bonny lad.
Charles: I suspect that there is a good claim for damages, although it won't bring the child back to life.
I have watched programmes on TV about how asthma attacks can prove fatal. I don't owe the child a duty of care. The school did, and failed in this case.
This is such a sad story isn't it.
My son has been suffering terrible nose bleeds and during one attack, his teacher wouldn't allow him to the toilets to get some tissue paper. He had to cup his hands under his nose to catch the blood. Naturally I went berserk and his school shirt and jumper was damaged. Too right I made the school pay for a new set and the teacher concerned got a very very strong letter from me!
