Abu Qatada released from prison

Abu Qatada released from prison

"The radical Islamist preacher Abu Qatada has been released from jail.

Abu Qatada, 47, was freed from Long Lartin Prison, in Worcestershire, at about 2020 BST after winning his fight against deportation from Britain
".

"The Palestinian-Jordanian preacher will be subjected to a 22-hour home curfew and tight restrictions on his liberty".

Electronic tag, prevented from attending a mosque. Policing this will cost a fortune. It will be cheaper to allow him to have his civil liberties. Whatever happened to the days when you could rant and rave at Speaker's Corner?

The bit that aamused me is that he has a condition of bail not to contact Osama Bin Laden...

'Sorry Osama old mate, I'd love to invite you round for tea and cupcakes but my conditions of bail won't allow me. Come to that, shouldn't be telling you this...'

No, WR, that condition was purely to stop him distributing free bacon sandwiches between friends.
