Queen to buy £10 million private jet

Queen to buy £10 million private jet

Proclaims the Telegraph article.

However, as you read on you discover that the Queen is not to buy it at all but the government is from taxpayers money.

Given that the Queen has a personal fortune of over £200,000,000, and given that it is a private jet, perhaps she should fork out for it instead?

Do you really want us to be a tin pot country?

It's also time we commissioned the Royal Yacht Britannia II. A sea trading nation without a national ship?

I think we already are a tin pot country.

Let them commission it themselves.

"A sea trading nation without a national ship?". The good old days. I think I read about it in history lessons and the British Empire.

I think the queen is at the mercy of the government as are the rest of us!

Cannot let her become destitute though, can we? :)
