Fairness is still our guide
Only New Labour can help businesses and families through this economic turbulence
It is only a Labour government that is able to act now to tackle the instability in the economy and provide the security that businesses and families need. This is a new agenda for an active government that stands for fairness first.
I think this is a well written piece from Gordon Brown or one of his speech writers or spin doctors.
However, if we are going to talk about fairness. Let's implement the ECtHR decision in Hirst v UK (No2), which decided that disenfranchisement of convicted prisoners breached their human rights. Notice I said implement and not just talk about it in some phoney public consultation exercise, followed by another proposed phoney public consultation exercise.
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
