American conservatives have reacted with near ecstasy to the Republican convention speech by Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, comparing John McCain's running mate with Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.
We know McCain's had his chips. Thatcher was an old cow. Reagan a cowboy. Sarah Palin by definition must be a cowgirl. Barack as Tonto?
Barack Obama would consider charging Bush administration over Guantanamo
Joe Biden, Barack Obama’s vice-presidential running mate, has indicated that a new Democratic administration could pursue criminal charges against the Bush administration over the treatment of detainees in Guantanamo bay.
And, he more than likely will consider against it in a Nixon-like immunity. In any event, I feel a Kennedy-like assassination will stop Obama.
