I am somewhat puzzled why the unelected MP for the Court of Appeal constituency, Sir Stephen Sedley, has made the news today with his view that all citizens in the UK should be on the DNA database. Especially, given that it was reported by the BBC way back in November 2004. Is this a case of a judge throwing his gavel out of the pram?
