He went on: "The defendant understood very well what he had done. His concern was immediately about his own career. He was heard to say: 'I'm doomed. That's my career gone. I'm a police officer.'"
When I read this, I thought it reminds me of the McCann case. The McCanns may well have said "We're doomed. That's our careers gone. We're doctors".
A mixture of law, politics, autobiography and humour. Once described as "The Devilish Advocate" (Guardian), I do have the ability to provoke a response. Sometimes it comes from someone who uses a thought process, and sometimes from jerks usually associated with the knee.
