Apparently, it is a sackable offence for a TV presenter to refer to a black person as being like a golliwog off air, but acceptable for a TV presenter to liken a black person to a chimpanzee on air. If Carol Thatcher's apology wasn't good enough, what makes the dickhead Chris Eakin so special that his apology is good enough?

Can't help asking myself whether there would have been the same furore had Alagiah said the chimp looked like Eakin.
