Explosion at the Millennium Dome

Explosion at the Millennium Dome

Breaking news: It is being reported that there has been a massive explosion within the Millennium Dome and that it has, like the Twin Towers on 9/11, come crashing down to the ground. Two eye witnesses Charles Mandelson and Mandy Falconer, who are partners, and share a flat overlooking the Millennium Dome, stated that there was a huge explosion and that the earth shook for them, and they jumped out of bed just in time to capture this exclusive photograph.

The National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) is a police unit co-located with the Centre for the Protection of the National Infrastructure (CPNI), and reports to and is funded by the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) (which incidentally isn’t an association at all but is instead a private company) has so far not issued a statement whether it is believed that the Millennium Dome’s doom is terrorist related or whether its demise has a more innocent explanation.

There is an unconfirmed report that Al Qaeda may be responsible, and that it is linked to the failed escape attempt by nine terrorists from Full Sutton Prison, East Yorkshire, yesterday. Police are not discounting the possibility that the threat is home grown and may be the work of the British Revolutionary Army (BRA) which supports the Prisoners Votes Case and other members of the Barred from Voting coalition.

The background to the Dome project, just before its opening Tony Blair claimed the Dome would be "a triumph of confidence over cynicism, boldness over blandness, excellence over mediocrity". Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary, stated that “The Dome’s collapse is a symbol of the end of New Labour and clears the ground ready for the Tory party to erect their own white elephant on the site after the next General Election”.

Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, stated that whilst she is concerned with what has happened is demanding that all CCTV footage in the area is compiled on to one long video tape, to amuse her husband Richard Timney, whilst she is away at work all day.
