Amateurs have taken over the asylum

What this and this have in common is that they appear to be attacks by amateurs as opposed to professional terrorists, and that the only real threat is the disruption that they cause.

UPDATE: I consider this to be a bigger terrorist threat. Especially, as it is claimed that the US actually bombed innocent men, women and children.

UPDATED UPDATE: Obsolete likens these clowns the Beavis and Butthead.

Very odd isn't it?

Basically what we have here is a ram raid followed by an attempt to set the vehicle on fire.

This is hardly the biggest threat that Britain has ever faced stuff and the culprits certanly won't be getting their ration of Virgins from Allah tonight.

It is not just the perpetrators that are amateurs.

Your photograph from the BBC News site shows that the Jeep did not get inside the Terminal. So why are BBC news reports saying otherwise?

Amateur press reporting on Amateur terrorists methinks.

You will note that I have updated the post to show what I believe poses a bigger terrorist threat.

You will also have noted then that the BBC considers this News from Afghanistan insignificant compared to an inconvenience for travellers at Glasgow Airport.

Gordon Brown

"I know the British people will stand together, united and resolute"

That's all right then.

Tell you what this is an INSULT to all those who went through WW1 and WW2. We are now going to pieces over just one bodged Incendiary device when our parents breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn't a Bomb, just an incendiary.

When there is very little happening it serves to put spin on the news, then the government adds its own spin. I've seen worse than this in the Gang Wars of the 60s.

Now Im no conspiraloon but when the bombs went off in London in July 2005 , not knowing that someone I knew very intimately at one point 11 months previously had been inside a tube, I thought that Ok this is another 9/11 ( of which there are a multitude of conspiracy theories) which has been done to bring in the USA Patriot act.

You know that act don't you Its not widely publicised but it allows wholesale spying by the state and the ability of neighbours and the State to turn you in it also removes any civil liberties in opposition to the Bill of Rights in the US.

Now I have no idea what is the truth these days unless I see it with my own unhappy eyes but the net effect of these new "bombs" such as they are prop up the Governments case for new terror laws based on more fear.

We don't need more laws Not restricting us even further or I'm thinking seriously of getting in the car and leaving and not coming back here.

Levels of security must be higher says Gordo

So when do we become a police state then ?

The BBC have just said that the man who got out of the car was in flames and had a suicide belt on him.

No nails in the car but there were propane cylinders.

Edit ( I made omissions and bad grammar in the previous post so I culled it This is a bit better)
